CAEN Summer school 2025

The 4th international summer school, featuring an advanced program of courses, will be held at the CAEN S.p.A. Headquarters from July 28th to August 1st, 2025.

The program will begin with an introduction to electronics for gamma and neutron detection, and will progressively delve into security applications and beyond.

A strong emphasis will be placed on hands-on laboratory sessions, offering participants the opportunity to work directly with cutting-edge nuclear instrumentation.

The summer school includes a final practical 'Operative Scenario' activity designed to give students hands-on experience with equipment, simulating real-world field operations. This prominent feature allows students to appreciate the use of instrumentation as if they were operators in the field.

The target of this schools is made og student with, at least a bachelor degree in physics or nuclear engineering. It is open also to PhD students or young people working in the industry sector that want to dive deeper in the world of the applications.

Please note that only 10 positions are available. Selection will be based on your Curriculum Vitae and stated fields of interest, which must be uploaded during the registration process. Applicants will be notified of their acceptance by the end of May.

Course fee: 600 EUR (VAT included).
