CAEN India is proud to present the CAEN Academy Tour – India Edition, a hands-on training initiative dedicated to the latest CAEN 2nd Generation Digitizers and the Sci-Compiler FPGA development framework. The event offers professionals and researchers a practical introduction to modern digital signal processing and data acquisition solutions through direct interaction with CAEN hardware and experts.
Program Overview
The training combines short technical presentations with live demonstrations and practical sessions. Participants will explore the architecture and key features of the CAEN x2740, x2745, x2730, and x2751 digitizer series, designed for real-time digital signal processing in nuclear and scientific applications.
A core part of the program is the introduction to the Sci-Compiler graphical environment, which allows users to develop custom FPGA firmware without writing HDL code. During the hands-on session, attendees will work with a CAEN SMART evaluation kit connected to their own PC to build, compile, upload, and test data acquisition firmware. Exercises will include implementing digital algorithms such as oscilloscope functions, scalers, charge integration, and pulse shape discrimination (PSD), as well as using CAEN SciSDK tools for control and readout.
The training includes access to the SMART Kit during the session, example projects, technical materials, and direct support from CAEN specialists.
